The Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, staying at the Capital Security Center, informed that city services were monitoring the event on an ongoing basis. — No serious incidents have been reported so far – Trzaskowski said. He added that statistics on the number of participants will be provided only when the march starts, which will allow for a more accurate estimate of attendance.
Trzaskowski also reminded about the bans in force in the capital, such as the ban on carrying weapons, using drones and pyrotechnics introduced by the voivode. — Unfortunately, some participants do not follow these rules and the police will take appropriate action – noted the mayor of Warsaw.
In a conversation with journalists, Trzaskowski expressed hope for a peaceful course of this year's march, emphasizing that the presence of President Karol Nawrocki may affect the discipline of the participants. — It looked different in previous years. There were peaceful marches, but there were also cases of breaking the law, related to banners, slogans and even devastation of the city, he recalled. This year he hopes for no incidents.
At the end, the mayor of Warsaw appealed to residents and participants to use public transport, which is the safest means of transport on the day of the march.
