Deputy coordinator of special services, Brig. Gen. On Wednesday in the Sejm, Radosław Kujawa answered questions from PiS MPs regarding the emerging information that the Zondacrypto company, which, according to Donald Tusk, has Russian connections, and entities related to it have been conducting training for officers of the Internal Security Agency, CBŚP, KAS, as well as prosecutors from the National Prosecutor's Office and regional prosecutor's offices since 2023.

Deputy coordinator of special services, Brig. Gen. Radosław Kujawa stated that “The Internal Security Agency is the only institution that reports to the coordinating minister. Its officers did not participate in any training organized by Zondacrypto, nor did people carrying out tasks for this institution.”

When asked who trained the ABW officers, General Kujawa said that “most of the training takes place on our own.”

– I am not able to answer in detail who and to what extent – whether as part of corps or specialized training, or for a department, or as part of cooperation with the prosecutor's office – dealt with cryptocurrencies – explained the deputy coordinator of the secret services.

He noted that “for us, cryptocurrencies are primarily a sphere used by criminal circles and foreign secret services.”

He also pointed out that “subversive activities carried out on Polish territory were paid for via cryptocurrencies.” – That is why the Internal Security Agency deals with this area – said General Kujawa.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Katowice has initiated criminal proceedings against the Zondacrypto cryptocurrency exchange for possible fraud and money laundering.

The prosecutor's office reported that the amount of damage in the Zondacrypto case is currently no less than PLN 350 million, and victims are notified from all over the country. The investigation is being conducted for “misleading many people as to the possibility of purchasing and storing fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies on the Zondacrypto exchange, thereby leading to unfavorable disposal of property.” (PAP)
