Due to bad weather in Ukraine, two people died, more than 1 thousand settlements without electricity – State Emergency Service


On April 26, as a result of bad weather in Ukraine, two people died, two more were injured, and more than 1 thousand settlements were left without power supply. This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations (SSES) on Telegram.

According to emergency workers, in Cherkassy a tree fell on an ATV while driving, killing one person. Another man died in the Transcarpathian region due to a falling tree. In Poltava, a child was injured as a result of a falling tree.

Due to bad weather, 1,121 settlements throughout the country were left without power supply.

“176 trips were carried out to cut trees and carry out restoration work. We urge citizens to be extremely careful,” the service said in a statement.
