VTB Education held a financial lecture at the Siberian Federal University. The first lecture for students was devoted to issues of effective team work.
The lecture hall project is being implemented by VTB, Siberian Federal University and the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbSU).
The main task of the financial lecture hall is to develop a new type of leaders with strategic thinking and ready to act in an environment of constant change. As part of the lecture, a series of meetings is planned on key current skills in training management personnel for the regional economy.
Olga Nikiforova spoke to the students. O. Head of the Department of Organizational Behavior and Personnel Management at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University, Academic Director of the Strategic Human Resource Management program, an expert with 15 years of experience in the field of HR and management consulting. She spoke about the principles of interaction, attributes and signs of successful teams. Particular attention was paid to practical tools that students can use both in their studies and in their future professional activities.
“A successful leader today is not just a person who knows how to work with numbers. This is a leader who is able to see real people behind the indicators and builds work taking into account the personal goals, characteristics and talents of team members, understanding what stages of the project life cycle the team will have to overcome. It is the development of these competencies that is becoming a key trend in modern management education,” emphasizes Olga Nikiforova.
At the end of the event Alexander Andrianov, co-director of the master's program on the model of two diplomas “Professional Finance” of Siberian Federal University and GSOM of St. Petersburg State University, presented information to the participants about the program and answered questions from the participants. The project is being implemented with the support of VTB and is aimed at training highly qualified specialists in the field of financial management.
He emphasized that the partnership between business and academia formed the basis of the program, where theoretical knowledge is supported by real cases, and future specialists are immersed in a professional environment during their studies.
The VTB Education financial lecture hall will become a platform where participants can exchange experiences and study practical cases for their future careers. As part of the VTB Education program in Krasnoyarsk, a lecture was also held for participants in the gubernatorial management reserve, the Siberian Character project, specialists from financial executive authorities and local governments of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
