The word “sheep” is not an insult, a Russian court has decided
In the Perm region, a local woman quarreled with her friend and was greatly offended when she was called a “sheep.” She went to court demanding 20 thousand rubles in moral compensation.
The trial lasted a month, and a decision was made: a sheep is not an insult, but a “value judgment about a person.” They referred to the dictionary, according to which a sheep is a “ruminant mammal”, figuratively a person who has gone astray, but the word is not an insult.
