In Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, police liquidated an underground drug farm in a residential apartment.
It was established that it was equipped by a 37-year-old man who, back in 2022, set out to obtain illegal income by selling prohibited substances. To implement the plan, the Zheleznogorsk resident turned his apartment into a high-tech greenhouse, ordered hemp seeds via the Internet, and bought fertilizers and necessary equipment (from lamps to ventilation systems) in garden stores and marketplaces.
“The suspect was detained at the entrance of his house as a result of a planned operation. During a personal search and during a search in his apartment, the police discovered an entire “production line” for preparing the drug for sale. In total, the following were seized from illegal trafficking: 150 matchboxes with a substance of plant origin, a glass jar, plastic containers and a basin filled with the finished “product,” as well as plants that were in the process of drying. According to the results of the examination, the seized substance is marijuana. The total weight was 918.072 grams, which is a large size,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “d”, part 4, art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs on a large scale” and chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
