In Krasnoyarsk, the owner of order pick-up points organized the sale of office paper through a fraudulent scheme as an additional source of income. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.

The man owned several pick-up points in the Oktyabrsky, Kirovsky and Leninsky districts of Krasnoyarsk. According to investigators, he rented several phone numbers and, with their help, from October 2024 to March 2025, bought postpaid goods on the marketplace to the addresses of his pickup points. This was mainly office paper in large volumes and other liquid items.

“When the shelf life of the delivered goods came to an end, the swindler issued a return, but kept the orders for himself and later sold them through advertisements on the Internet. In total, over five thousand boxes of office paper and other goods worth more than 10 million rubles were stolen,” the regional police explained.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened for fraud under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Currently, the case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor has been sent to the Leninsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk for consideration on the merits.
