About 200 employees of Krasnoyarsk Railways will take part in a community cleanup at the Children's Railway of Krasnoyarsk

A labor cleanup on April 25 will be held by employees of the Krasnoyarsk Railway on the territory of the Children's Railway in the Central Park of Krasnoyarsk, which has been under reconstruction since 2023.

About 200 railway workers from key divisions of KrasRussian Railways, who are not involved in the production process, will manually clean the ballast of 1,300 meters of railway track, remove construction waste and bring the infrastructure and objects of the small railway to an aesthetic condition. They will also wash and paint the train carriages and locomotive after the winter layover.

Let us remind you that the Krasnoyarsk Children's Railway is the oldest existing in Russia. She turns 90 in 2026. This is the only narrow-gauge children's railway in the country (the gauge is 508 mm).

All these years, the Children's Railways has been a unique educational institution in Krasnoyarsk, where schoolchildren learn the basics of railway professions. The circular route of the children's highway covers the entire territory of the park and is a large-scale simulator for mastering railway specialties, including the profession of a driver.

Currently, KrasRussian Railways is constructing a new educational building for the Children's Railway on the territory of the park adjacent to the Historical Quarter of the city. The building will be made in the form of a large-scale copy of the first railway station of Krasnoyarsk station, built in 1895.
