“Probably written by ChatGPT”. JD Vance mocks the Iranians and rejects allegations of ceasefire violations

US Vice President JD Vance has denied that the United States violated the Iran ceasefire deal and says there were three different versions of the 10-point proposal, fueling confusion about the basis of the negotiations, CNN reported.

Vance criticized the speaker of the Iranian parliament, who had complained about the violation of three clauses in Tehran's proposed framework for negotiations.

“I'm really wondering how well he understands English, because there are things he said that, frankly, didn't make sense in the context of the negotiations we had,” the US vice president said before boarding Air Force Two to return from Hungary.

He claims there were three versions of the 10-point proposals.

“The first 10-point proposal was something that was sent out, and frankly, we think it was probably written by ChatGPT, that was sent to Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, and it went straight to the trash, and it was rejected,” JD Vance added.

According to the US vice president, the second proposal was “much more reasonable”.

Instead, JD Vance criticized the third proposal, which he said he saw on social media. It was “even more maximalist” than the first, the official claims.

What the president of the Iranian parliament had declared

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Wednesday that three clauses in the 10-point proposal had been violated before Friday's talks in Pakistan, so negotiations were “unreasonable” at this point.

According to the Iranian official, two of the violations refer to the entry of an “intruder drone” into the national airspace, respectively to the denial of Tehran's right to enrich uranium.

In addition, Israeli forces continue to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon, although this must also be included in the truce despite objections from the United States and Israel, Ghalibaf said.

Israel claims that the agreement does not cover the situation in Lebanon.

Although he stated in turn that the United States did not agree to the inclusion of Lebanon in the agreement, Vance nevertheless stated that Israel should “temper a little bit on Lebanon.”
