The head of the Polish Olympic Committee spoke about Zondacrypto. “We sent a letter to ABW”

As Piesiewicz said, PKOL notified ABW about cooperation with Zondacrypto. — Even before the announcement of cooperation with Zondacrypto, we sent a letter to ABW with information that we plan to expand our sponsorship portfolio, also with entities from outside the EU, said the president of the Polish Olympic Committee.
Piesiewicz noted that The Polish Olympic Committee asked for information or training on possible risks associated with cooperation with this type of entities. — The letter was delivered on October 17, 2025. To date, we have not received any response, and today we learn about the company's connections with the Russian mafia, he said.

Piesiewicz added that he was surprised that the government had not informed the Polish Olympic Committee about this earlier. — The question is why the government did not say this loudly, or even secretly, half a year ago – said the president of the Polish Olympic Committee.

Since October, the Zondacrypto cryptocurrency exchange has been the main sponsor of the Polish Olympic Committee. The President of the Polish Olympic Committee, Radosław Piesiewicz, assured that the committee fully fulfilled its obligations towards the Olympic athletes, and all prizes in PLN were paid.
As part of this cooperation, she funded, among others: prizes in the form of tokens for Polish athletes for their achievements during this year's Winter Olympic Games in Italy. The total value of the prizes awarded is PLN 1.38 million and includes both medalists and competitors who took fourth to eighth places.
However, some athletes report that even though the tokens appear on their accounts, they are unable to convert them into Polish zlotys. The following people commented on this matter, among others: speed skater Damian Żurek and ski jumper Kacper Tomasiak, three-time Olympic medalist.
