Hundreds of people began to leave their homes on Monday morning after Israel ordered the immediate evacuation of more than 50 villages and towns, according to the BBC.
“For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move at least 1,000 meters away from villages in open areas,” the official warning issued by the army said.

The Israeli authorities stated that the measure is necessary because “anyone who is near Hezbollah members, its installations or military bases puts their lives in danger.”
The evacuation comes as loud explosions were reported in Beirut's suburbs in response to Hezbollah's earlier drone and rocket attacks on northern Israel.
