A criminal case was opened in Uzhur after a large dog attacked a 33-year-old woman. This was reported to Sledkom.
It all happened on April 11th. According to investigators, the alabai escaped from an enclosure located in the courtyard of a private house on Gorky Street and bit the woman on the neck and chest. A 65-year-old man tried to stop the dog, but was also injured. Due to the threat to human life and health, the police officer who arrived at the scene shot and killed the animal.
A criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm through negligence). As part of the investigation, forensic medical examinations were ordered to establish the exact severity of the harm caused to the health of the victims.
The investigation will provide a legal assessment of the actions of the Alabai owner in complying with the rules for keeping pets and ensuring the safety of others.
