Volodymyr Zelensky Dismisses Kyiv Military Administration Chief Tkachенко

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has officially dismissed Timur Tkachенко from his position as the head of the Kyiv Military Administration, according to a recent decree. The decree does not provide any details regarding the reasons for Tkachенко’s dismissal.

Tkachенко had been leading the Kyiv Military Administration since December 2024. Prior to this role, he served as the Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development under Oleksiy Kuleba, who was dismissed on July 15 following the resignation of Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko.

Reports from RBC-Ukraine indicate that rumors about Tkachенко’s potential resignation had been circulating since May, although he previously dismissed these speculations as “ordered materials.”
