1 drop per 1 liter – and spathiphyllum will release dozens of “sails” and leaves: a secret cocktail for “female happiness”

Spathiphyllum, which is popularly affectionately called “women’s happiness,” is one of the most beloved indoor plants. Its graceful snow-white inflorescences and bright foliage can decorate any interior and lift your spirits.

But to wait for this beauty to bloom, you will have to try. The plant requires care and knowledge of small tricks.

A special solution based on iodine and humate will help to “awaken” spathiphyllum. The procedure will require a liter bottle, a plastic cup and a deep basin.

Stage one

Pour a little humate (literally a pinch) into the bottom of the glass and add one drop of iodine.

Stage two

Pour the mixture with water, mix thoroughly – you get a concentrated fertilizer.

Stage three

Fill a liter bottle with water, pour in the prepared concentrate and mix again.

Stage four

Pour the solution into a basin, add warm water, and then immerse the flower pot there for half an hour.

The author of the channel “Palisadnichek” (18+) warns: if your “female happiness” grows in a white pot, this method will not work. A brownish solution can leave unsightly stains on a light-colored container or stain it.

In such a situation, act differently: make the fertilizer less saturated (dilute the humate in 3 liters of water) and water the spathiphyllum generously directly under the root. It is better to carry out the procedure over a basin, since excess liquid will flow out of the drainage holes of the pot.

Real reviews from flower growers

Elena from the Samara region said that her spathiphyllum did not bloom for more than two years.

“I tried everything, but only this recipe gave results,” she admitted.

The woman noted that the solution with humate and iodine was prepared in 5 minutes, and the long-awaited flowering occurred within a month.

A spathiphyllum lover named Sergei had his first flower stalks even earlier – after 3 weeks. He added that he now does this procedure every spring and calls it the “magic button.”
