Specialists from Rospotrebnadzor told residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory what to look for when buying tangerines.

Experts advise first of all to pay attention to the appearance of citrus fruits. Tangerines should be of the correct shape, elastic, but not soft. The peel should be porous and even in color: no foreign stains, much less mold or rot. It is not recommended to buy dried and hard fruits.

If you like sweet tangerines, then choose weighty fruits. If you prefer sour ones, then pay attention to the color – the lighter the fruit, the more sour the pulp. A tail with green leaves is not an indicator of the freshness of tangerines.

“In addition to the festive atmosphere, tangerines give a boost of health, because they are rich in vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system, and fiber, which is good for digestion,” said Head of Information Support Department atBoard of Rospotrebnadzor in the region Svetlana Lyamchenkova.
