The mayor of Krasnoyarsk summed up the results of the first open meetings with residents and announced a new format of communication

April 19 10:30
This week the first series of open meetings between the head of Krasnoyarsk and residents of all seven districts of the city ended. In total, the communication lasted 25 hours, 1,154 citizens took part in the discussion of problems, from whom 1,179 questions were received.
On his social networks, Sergei Vereshchagin thanked everyone who came to the meetings:
“This experience helped me to better immerse myself in the problems of territories. You asked both simple everyday questions and complex ones; objectively, solutions to them will not be quick. I will note two themes that were evident throughout: the quality of work of the management company and the handling of solid waste. The municipality does not have direct leverage in them. Nevertheless, we are involved in the solution in possible ways. I will continue to check decisions with my colleagues, and in the summer I will visit the districts to monitor them.”
The mayor also noted that the questions he receives on social networks differ from those received from residents in person:
“Therefore, in the second half of May we will communicate online for the first time. And we’ll see you again in the fall for the second series of open meetings.”
