According to Rospotrebnadzor, the woman bought two store certificates with a total number of 6,000 rubles. She was able to use them only six months after the end of their validity. But the seller refused to accept certificates to pay for the purchase, saying that they are already invalid. The return of money for unused gift certificates was also denied.
The court recognized such actions illegal and recovered from Sportmaster LLC in favor of a woman 33,000 rubles, including the cost of certificates, a penalty for violation of the term of refund, moral damage, fine and other expenses incurred. The decision has entered into force.
Recall that in the case of gift certificates, the following restrictions are considered illegal: by validity; pabout the possibility of returning the price of a certificate or the balance of money; on the return and replacement of goods purchased for it.
