Krasnoyarsk traffic police inspectors brought to justice a motorist who hit an elderly pedestrian and left the scene of the accident.
It all happened a few days ago in the Oktyabrsky district – a 61-year-old driver of a Nissan car ran over a 68-year-old man. After that, she got out of the car and helped the victim get up.
“The man was in a state of shock, but assured that he was feeling well and did not need medical help. The woman left, and he went on about his business. However, in the evening of the same day his condition worsened and he went to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed injuries sustained during the accident. Employees of the traffic police regiment quickly identified the culprit of the incident and detained her,” the traffic police said.
In relation to the traffic violation violator, administrative material was drawn up under Part 2 of Article 12.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which provides for deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to 1.5 years or arrest for up to 15 days.
