The attacker barricaded himself in the supermarket and held hostages. According to information from the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the perpetrator did not make any demands. Negotiations with him lasted about 40 minutes, but they did not bring any result.

The attacker has been identified. It is known that he was 58 years old and born in Moscow, but he was a citizen of Ukraine. According to TVN24, when the full-scale war with Russia began, he lived in Bakhmut in the Donetsk Oblast, from where he left before the city turned into a battlefield.
