According to a statement sent on Tuesday by the Argeș County Police Inspectorate, the investigation is being carried out by the officers of the Economic Crime Investigation Service, reports Agerpres.
How the employee would have acted
The young woman, who was in charge of the gaming machines, “allegedly made available to two men the key for lending the roulette type gaming machines, an asset under his management pursuant to his duties“, according to IPJ Argeș.
Investigators allege that, at the request of the two men, this would have allowed them to use the key to credit the electronic impulse machines so that they could bet large sums of money, although “they did not actually own the respective amounts”.
“Following the fraudulent use of gaming machines, the two would have made gains which they claimed, and the young woman allegedly took money out of the company's cash register and handed it over to them”according to the police statement.
Damage of over 460,000 lei
The total damage caused to the commercial company that owns the gaming hall amounts to 464,400 lei, according to IPJ Argeș.
In order to guarantee the recovery of the amount, during the criminal investigation, an insurance seizure was instituted on the assets of the young woman and the two men involved, aged 40 and 34, respectively.
The criminal file was submitted to the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Pitesti Court, with a proposal to send all three people to court.
