Donald Trump Makes Controversial Remark About Nicki Minaj at Rally

At a rally in Port Huron, Michigan, President Donald Trump made a vulgar comment regarding rapper Nicki Minaj’s figure while supporting Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers. According to reports, Trump remarked, “I’ve seen a hell of a nice butt, Nicki Minaj’s,” after the artist spoke at the event. He then encouraged the crowd to notice her, saying she was “hard to miss,” which elicited laughter and applause from the thousands of Republicans present.
“I hope Nicki didn’t take it the wrong way. We love Nicki, she’s been with us for a long time,” Trump added.
Trump had traveled alongside Minaj on Air Force One to McMorran Place arena for the rally. His comments about Minaj’s figure came in the wake of earlier remarks he made regarding Ohio Republican Senator Jon Husted’s physique. Earlier in October, Trump had said about Husted, a former college football player: “I don’t do this too often with men. I started examining his body because I didn’t know he was a big athlete. I looked at him from head to toe. I looked at his butt and his whole body, and then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. They’re like claws.”
Responding to the media frenzy over his comments, Trump labeled the coverage as “fake news,” claiming journalists overlooked the sports context of his statements, noting that he had just learned of Husted’s athletic background while observing him closely.
