In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a local resident was detained suspected of stealing payments to SVO participants. This was reported by the press service of the Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia.
According to investigators, from July to October 2025, a 42-year-old resident of Achinsk organized a scheme to steal payments from participants in a special military operation. The man organized marriages between military personnel and residents of Achinsk. After sending three men to the place of duty, the suspect took the women's bank cards, which were used for payments. He appropriated the money for himself.
Searches were carried out at the suspect's place of residence. Law enforcement officers seized more than 1 million rubles, more than 10 cell phones, passports, bank cards, SIM cards of various operators.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed on an especially large scale). Operational support of the criminal case is carried out by the Federal Security Service of Russia in the region and the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
The suspect has been detained. At the request of the investigator, the court chose a preventive measure against him in the form of detention.
Currently, the necessary investigative actions aimed at collecting and consolidating the evidence base are ongoing. Investigators also establish other episodes of the suspect’s criminal activity and identify all persons affected by his actions.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region added that the suspect had previously been convicted. Using the stolen payments, he bought, among other things, an apartment in one of the microdistricts of Achinsk.
