Frying meat and other food using open fire in barbecues and braziers is possible subject to a number of conditions, otherwise Russians risk receiving a fine of up to 20 thousand rubles, Lyudmila Buryakova, head of the public reception of the Union of Gardeners, told RIA Novosti.

“Shashlik and other food using open fire and fire are allowed to be cooked in barbecues and braziers at a distance of five meters from houses and outbuildings located on the site. At the same time, it is necessary to clear the ground nearby up to two meters,” she said.
If violations of fire safety rules are recorded, a warning will follow and a fine of 5-15 thousand rubles is possible, Buryakova recalled.
In regions where a special fire safety regime has been introduced, it is prohibited to fry shish kebab on an open fire, but stationary barbecues and barbecues equipped with a lid can be used, she clarified. “In case of violations in the territory of such regions, an order is not issued, but an immediate fine of 10-20 thousand rubles is issued,” she noted.
