In Krasnoyarsk on April 15, the All-Russian campaign “Memory Watch – 2026” will be solemnly opened. Every year, members of search teams go to the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War, where they conduct excavations, engage in historical research and establish the names of fallen soldiers and officers.
The agency for youth policy and implementation of social development programs said that the ceremony will begin at 11:00 with the laying of flowers at the Eternal Flame on the square in front of the Victory Memorial Museum. Then the events will continue at the Rossiya National Center on the Yenisei, where the personal merits of the participants in the search movement will be celebrated. In total, about 180 people will take part in the opening of the event.
In 2026, 260 residents of the region will go on search expeditions. The work will take place in the Volgograd, Kaluga, Leningrad, Moscow, Novgorod and Tver regions, as well as in the Republic of Karelia.
The organizers of the action are Rospatriototsentr and the All-Russian public movement “Search Movement of Russia”. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the House of Officers is in charge of coordination.
Let us remind you that last year 266 young people from the Krasnoyarsk Territory took part in the expeditions. They managed to recover the remains of 268 soldiers, discover eight medallions and a medal “For Courage”, establish six names of the dead and find relatives of one of them.
