In Krasnoyarsk, the international violin contest Viktor Tretyakov was launched

In Krasnoyarsk, the IV International Contest of the Violinist Viktor Tretyakov is held – an event designed to help talented musicians in their professional formation.

The regional Ministry of Culture said that young performers from Russia, China, Japan, Great Britain and the Netherlands will demonstrate their skill on the Siberian stage. For the spectators of the competition, this is a unique opportunity to hear the sound of the violin Antonio Stradivari 1716, Giovanni Battista Cheruti 1790 and other masters of the beginning of the XVIII-XIX centuries.

At the opening ceremony, the president and chairman of the jury of the competition Viktor Tretyakov turned to young colleagues-scripts with warm words of support:

“Ahead of you are awaiting several not very easy days of competition, performances. But this, I am sure, will not interfere with you, on the contrary, to support, spur. I wish you great victories, great achievements in this competition, and in the future the biggest success! ” – said Viktor Tretyakov.

Fans of academic music met the participants of the competition, learned the results of the draw, on which the order of the performances of the violinists depends, enjoyed the famous works of Russian and foreign classics. The jury member Pavel Milyukov and the winners of the 2023 contest, the successor to the famous musicians Daniil Kogan (I Award) and the New Diamond of the Russian Violin School, shone as soloists on stage.

The young performer at the opening was waiting for a pleasant surprise. The violin master of the competition Igor Laubakh from Germany was so fascinated by the girl’s game and her work that he decided to bring to Krasnoyarsk and give the violin a tool for his work. The master handed the violin right on the stage to the approval of the public.

The first two rounds of the competition are held on September 21-24 in the Great Academic Concert Hall of the Siberian State Institute of Arts named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky. The winners of the correspondence qualifying tour – 24 violinist aged 17 to 31 years – play a solo program. In the second round, contestants will show themselves as ensembles. Eight best violinists will remain to the third round of 24 performers.

In the final, fourth, stage, six participants will fight for the main prizes. The performances will be held on September 29 and 30 in the M.V. Spiller's small concert hall. The Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra led by Vladimir Lande will accompany the contestants.

The winners will be announced on a gala concert. The total prize fund of the competition exceeds 5 million rubles.
