Chairman of the RF Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin ordered to re-initiate a criminal case into a dog attack on a woman with a child in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported by the press service of the regional Investigative Committee.

A resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory contacted the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia because of disagreement with the results of establishing the circumstances of the dog attack on her and her 6-year-old child in the village of Solnechny.

The incident occurred in September 2025. The dog, which was walking without a leash or muzzle, attacked the boy and bit the woman. Victim was injured and required medical attention. “Previously AAlexander Bastrykin brought this situation under control in the central office of the department. A criminal case was initiated at the Main Investigation Department for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia. The prosecutor of the Uzhursky district, Viktor Nikolaevich Khabarov, canceled the decision to initiate a criminal case. An appeal of the decision by the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia up to the Deputy Prosecutor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Dmitry Mikhailovich Sedykh did not bring any results; the materials were transferred according to jurisdiction to the internal affairs bodies,” the department explained.

As a result, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the regional Investigative Committee, Alexey Eremin, to re-initiate a criminal case and submit a report on the progress and results of his investigation.

The execution of the order is placed under control in the central office of the department.
