Many housewives adore the fat plant for its beautiful appearance and the fact that it requires almost no maintenance. If you pinch the tops of the shoots in time, the plant turns into a neat evergreen tree with a beautiful dense crown.
Crassula loves diffused light and abundant watering. However, in order to grow lush greenery and flowering, the succulent must be fed periodically.
Experienced flower growers from the Fermer.Blog channel (18+) recommend “pampering” the fat plant with calcium. To do this, you need to prepare a simple chalk fertilizer. This additive makes the plant noticeably stronger, increases its resistance to diseases and pests, and also improves the soil structure.
What you will need:
- chalk without additives – 100 g;
- warm water – 1 l.
Grind the chalk into powder and stir it in warm water. First, water the fat plant well with plain water, then water the plant with chalk solution. Repeat this procedure once every 3 months.
Important warning: do not overdo it with fertilizing! From overfeeding, the plant begins to fatten, stretches and may rot. Instead of chalk, you can equally well use eggshell powder or marble chips.
