The weather is gradually warming up across the country after the late winter episode. ANM announces temperatures above normal in some regions

Temperatures will start to rise from next week in the intra-Carpathian regions, and then the warming will spread to the west and northwest of the country, according to the four-week forecast sent by the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) on Friday. Thus, the late winter will gradually leave us.

After several days of unseasonably cold, snow and increasing winds, the weather will gradually change just before Easter and the late winter episode will withdraw from most regions.
Meteorologists state that the warming will not be sudden, but the temperature differences will be visible from one day to the next, especially starting from the weekend.
Until Saturday inclusive, the cold weather continues, with rain, sleet and temperatures below the normal averages of the period. From Sunday, together with the first day of Easter, April 12, the thermal values start to increase, the precipitation gradually recedes, and the sky becomes variable to clear in several regions.
Weather evolution in the following weeks: April 13–20
For the interval 13–20 April 2026, ANM estimates temperatures slightly above normal in the intra-Carpathian regions, while in the rest of the country the values will be close to the climatological averages. The precipitation regime will be deficient in the west and northwest, and in the other regions it will remain within normal limits.
Week of April 20–27
During the week of April 20–27, temperatures will remain slightly above normal in the West and Northwest, and precipitation will generally be close to seasonal averages.
Week of April 27 – May 4
For the period from April 27 to May 4, temperatures will continue to be slightly above normal in the intra-Carpathian areas, while in the rest of the country they will be close to normal values. Precipitation will generally be within normal limits.
The beginning of May
In the first week of May (May 4–11), temperatures will remain slightly above average in the northwest, and in the rest of the territory they will be close to the specific climatological values. Rainfall amounts will also remain around normal nationally.
