The US president's entry appeared shortly after his meeting with Secretary General of the Alliance, Mark Rutte. As White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt reported on Wednesday, one of the topics discussed during the meeting was the American leader's considerations regarding the US leaving NATO.
Donald Trump has recently been very critical of the Alliance – especially in the context of his countries' involvement in unblocking the Strait of Hormuz and the criticism of the United States regarding the war with Iran.
