“About 13,000 pigs died Following a Russian attack With drone on an agricultural holding in Novovodolazka commune, in the Kharkov region ”transmitted the intervention teams. The images published by the Emergency Service show piled pigs, partially burned, under the collapsed roof of the stables.
The animals were housed in eight buildings with a total area of over 13,000 square meters. All the stables were destroyed by flames, and an employee of the farm was injured, according to the Ukrainian service for emergency situations, quoted by Agerpres.
Animals, collateral victims of war
The international press emphasizes that, in addition to human and material losses, the war in Ukraine seriously affects animals. During the three and a half years of conflict, several farms and zoos have been the target of bombings.
In September, seven horses were killed in the Kiev region during a large air raid that hit an equestrian center. In June, a ram died after the Zoo in Odessa was hit by a Russian attack.
