Almost 200 young Krasnoyarsk residents are being selected for honorary guard duty on Victory Day

In Krasnoyarskregistration of young people has been completed for selection into the guard of honor who will take part in the events, dedicated celebrating the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The press service of the mayor's office reported that applications have been submitted 193 people. Now Tocandidates practice the basic elements of service: handling a carbine, moving during a guard shift, and engage in drill training. Everything will end with an examination selection, which will determine who will be included in the final guard of honor.

Traditionally, the honor guard service at the Eternal Flame on Victory Square begins a week before the memorable date. From 5 to 8 Mayas well as on May 10, the service will be held from 10:00 to 14:00. On Victory Day, 9 MYes, the guard members will take up duty from 09:00 to 21:00. Also Post officers will take part in the ceremonial parade of units on the avenue named after the newspaper “Krasnoyarsk Worker” as part of the box of the project “Post No. 1 in the city of Krasnoyarsk”.

“Post No. 1 is not a separate event, but daily work, a manifestation of character and respect for memory. In young people, not only the level of drill training is assessed. We pay attention to a responsible attitude to training, fortitude and discipline,” said Roman Danilov, director of the Patriot youth center.

In addition to serving at the Eternal Flame, members of the Post No. 1 movement are preparing a special program for city residents. Demonstration performances by the combined honor guard company of Post No. 1 together with cadets of the Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia will be held at several points in Krasnoyarsk.
