On April 4, the author of the Ukrainian culinary YouTube channel “Prosti Recipes” shared a recipe for incredibly tasty paska with lard.

“Why is everyone silent that paska with lard is so delicious?” – asked the blogger.

For the dough:

  • 25 g pressed yeast;
  • 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 250 ml warm milk;
  • 3 tbsp. l. flour.

For the test:

  • two eggs;
  • 120 g sugar;
  • 0.5 tsp. turmeric;
  • 1 tsp. vanilla sugar;
  • 0.5 tsp. salt;
  • 100 g lard;
  • 500 g flour;
  • vegetable oil – for hands;
  • 150 g dried fruits.

Preparation:

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk, add sugar and flour. Stir and leave in a warm place for the dough to rise.
  2. Add eggs, sugar, turmeric, vanilla sugar, salt and lard to the prepared dough.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead into a soft elastic dough.
  4. First fill dried fruits or raisins with hot water, then dry well and mix into the dough.
  5. Cover the dough and leave in a warm place until it rises well. After this, divide the dough into parts, place in molds and leave to rise again until the dough has increased in volume.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C until done. Baking time depends on the size of the pans and oven.
