In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a court found a resident of Yeniseisk guilty of using violence against the head of the city, Valery Nikolsky, and punished him with actual imprisonment.

Let us remind you that everything happened November 28, 2025, when the 46-year-old defendant came to the local administration for a personal reception with the mayor. According to investigators, during the conversation the visitor began to express dissatisfaction with the activities of state authorities and local government, and then attacked the head and caused him bodily harm.

The media reported that the man hit the mayor several times punched him in the face, breaking his nose. After the attack, the mayor was hospitalized and prescribed inpatient treatment.

The attacker was taken into custody, he admitted guilt in committing the crime. By Part 2 Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence dangerous to life or health against a government official in connection with the performance of his official duties) to him appointed 2.5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force, the joint press service of the regional courts reported.
