In the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater, a large -scale repair of the main scene will be carried out

In Krasnoyarsk, the main scene of the musical theater will be closed for repairs.

The theater said that a large scene has long been needed to update. Capital repairs will begin on July 1, 2025 and will be finished in the next, 2026.

“This event is very important for us, because it will lead to the improvements of many characteristics of the stage mechanics – the part that is invisible to the ordinary viewer, but is very important for the creative process, for the safety of employees. And on this trip we will send the scene literally in a couple of weeks, ”said Olga Romanova, director of the theater.

The new technical base will make the production even more spectacular. But the theater will spend almost the next season at the “guest” venues – Performances will be shown in the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater, in the drama theater named after A. S. Pushkin, regional Philharmonic and the Siberian State Institute of Arts. A small scene of the theater will also work. The theater notes that the Krasnoyarsk residents still have time to see their favorite performances on the usual stage.

Recall that in the summer of 2021 the reconstruction of the square began in front of the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater, and in the fall of 2022 – the entrance group and the central facade of the building, which had long been needed to update. The work continued until the fall of 2024. All this time the theater worked as usual.

It is worth noting that not only the music theater is preparing for major repairs. They promised to renew the premises and facades to the opera theater.
