In Kansk, the court sentenced schoolchildren who stole a car and caused the accident.
The joint press service of the regional courts said that on the night of October 25, 2025, four minors, by prior conspiracy, stole a car VAZ 21061. They installed and connected a battery previously stolen from another car to the car. After that, one of them got behind the wheel, and the rest pushed the car into the alley, and by shorting the wires under the steering column, they started the engine.
The teenagers drove around the city in a stolen car for several days until they caused an accident. As a result The car was seized by traffic police officers.
“When assigning punishment to the defendants, the court took into account the nature and degree of public danger of the crime committed, which was classified as a serious crime, and information about the identity of the defendants. As circumstances mitigating the punishment, the court recognized the minor age of the perpetrators, confession, repentance, and apology to the victim,” clarified in court.
WITHcourt appointed each minor 1 year suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 1 year.
