The Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced a local resident for draft evasion.
In April 2025, the draft board decided to send the man to military service. In May and June, he was twice notified of the need to appear at the military registration and enlistment office to be sent to a unit, but he refused to receive the summons.
The Krasnoyarsk citizen had no grounds for deferment or exemption from military service. However, the man did not come to the military registration and enlistment office on the appointed days and did not provide documents confirming a valid reason.
As a result, a criminal case was opened against him under Part 1 of Art. 328 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (evasion of conscription for military service in the absence of legal grounds for exemption from this service).
In February 2026, the criminal actions of the Krasnoyarsk resident were stopped by investigators. The court found the man guilty and imposed a fine of 150 thousand rubles.
The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
