The Zheleznogorsk City Court sentenced a local resident for stealing someone else's gold jewelry.
The joint press service of the Krasnoyarsk Territory courts said that the woman worked as a nurse in the cardiology department of the hospital. In October 2025, the patient gave her his gold chain and cross to give to his relatives.
“Having put the jewelry in her robe, she forgot about it and brought it along with the robe to her home. While washing her robe, the woman discovered jewelry and decided to steal it, hiding it at home, thereby causing damage to the victim in the amount of 384,360 rubles,” the court clarified.
The court found the woman guilty under paragraph “c” of Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft, that is, the secret theft of someone else’s property, on a large scale). Taking into account the presence of a dangerous relapse of crimes, she was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment to serve the sentence in a general regime correctional colony.
The verdict did not enter into legal force.
