After shish kebab, the grate is often covered with a dense fatty crust with burnt spices, which does not come off even with a brush and detergent. Most spend the evening after a feast on scrapers, soaking in a basin and household chemicals. But there is an easier method that works immediately after removing the meat from the coals.
You will need:
Aluminum foil
Paper towel or dry rag
How to do:
- Immediately after barbecue, while the grill is still warm, place it on the edge of the grill for a couple of minutes.
- Take a sheet of foil, fold it in several layers and crumple it into a tight ball.
- Wipe the bars with it, following the metal strips. Foil will quickly remove burnt fat from barbecue without scratching the surface.
- If there are dark traces of the marinade, go over the surface with a dry paper towel.
Foil acts as a soft abrasive. It cleans off charred kebabs without damaging the metal. And paper takes away what is left.
This method is suitable for anyone who wants to spend less time cleaning up after a barbecue and more time relaxing with loved ones. You don’t need any money, just what you always have in your country bag.
