A violent fire, which broke out on Tuesday evening, March 31, in an apartment on Calea Vitan, in Sector 3 of Bucharest, revealed a possible crime.

The 72-year-old man found in the home that caught fire was an anesthesiologist. He had multiple stab wounds, according to preliminary information from the investigation.
The law enforcement officers are considering the hypothesis of a crime followed by the burning of the apartment, in an attempt to erase the traces, according to Antena 3 CNN.
The doctor had an experience of over 20 years in the guards at Lahovari Hospital. Until about two years ago, he worked at the “Gomoiu” Children's Clinical Hospital, where he ended his work a few days ago. He lived alone, had a daughter from a previous marriage, and in recent years had been in a relationship with a woman.
The case is being investigated by homicide prosecutors.

The fire started with an open flame in an apartment located on the 1st floor of an 8-story building. The doctor was taken out of the apartment, with burns on approximately 50% of the body surface, he was initially transported to the hospital, but his death was later confirmed.
