“Damn knows what is going on.” The intercepted conversation about a successful attack deep into Russia

On a recording made available on May 31 by Ukrainian services on a telegram, Facebook and other social media, an anonymous Russian says that repeated interruptions in the delivery of the Internet in Saransk, the capital of the Republic of Mordovia, after the drone attack caused the residents to cut off the world and leave them in the dark.
“They hit the factory. They broke half Sarańska!” – he says in a panicked voice.
Already on Wednesday morning, May 7, the Ukrainian authorities announced that the attack was aimed at a plant in Saransk in the Republic of Mordovia producing fiber optic systems.
This plant is a key element of the Russian defense industry, producing cables and communication equipment for the Russian army, including drones using fiber optic connections.
The woman describes that after the internet attack in Sarańsk and the whole Mordowia he was cut off many times, leaving residents without information. “The Ministry of Extraordinary Situations has sent a message about a drone attack,” says the Russian. “But the internet doesn't work again – today it doesn't work. Nobody knows what is going on.”
She also recalls how her relative Azamat went to Sarańska and how the attacks have become “mass” and “frequent”. – “They turned off the internet. We don't have any messages. Damn knows what is going on,” he adds.
Earlier this year Kyiv Post interviewed Maria [imię zmienione]who works as a professional “eavesdrop” in a Ukrainian interview and told about the shocking things she hears.
Russia regularly rejects the content of intercepted conversations published by Ukraine, claiming that they are false. Kyiv Post asked Maria about it. She replied: “They are all real, even if they may seem crazy. Sometimes I can't believe the words I hear, but it is as it is.”
In the near future one can expect more reports on the subject – at the beginning of this week, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz revealed that the West – the US, Great Britain, France and Germany – gave consent to Ukraine to use the “unlimited” weapon transmitted to it, and therefore also against the goals throughout the territory of Russia.
