An Achinsk resident's car worth more than 2 million rubles was seized for repeated drunk driving.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, at the request of a police officer, an expensive car was seized, the owner of which will appear in court for repeated drunken driving without a license.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region said that in early March the traffic police crew on the street. Pushkinskaya in Achinsk stopped a LAND ROVER driven by a local resident. The driver showed external signs of intoxication, and he was asked to undergo an examination on the spot. However, he refused to undergo a medical examination at the clinic.

“When checking the offender using the information base, it was found that in 2014 he had already come to the attention of traffic police for committing a similar act. Then the court sentenced the man to Article 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation in the form of deprivation of rights for a period of 18 months. In the fall of 2025, the man was again detained by the traffic police crew, but this time he refused an on-site examination. The result is administrative material under Article 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The court deprived him of his driver’s license for 10 months,” the regional police clarified.

However, the man got behind the wheel drunk without a driver's license. A criminal case was initiated against him under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In the near future, the case materials will be sent to the Achinsk City Court for consideration on the merits.

To ensure the execution of the sentence in terms of confiscation of property and punishment in the form of a fine, investigators filed a petition with the court to seize the property of the accused. The judge supported the petition, the LAND ROVER car worth more than 2.2 million rubles was arrested and is in a specialized parking lot.
