If lime deposits and yellow deposits have accumulated inside the kettle, do not rush to rub the surface with a hard sponge or buy expensive products. There is a simple and safe way to clean the inside of the device without effort. The product softens even old scale and returns the walls to their factory smoothness.
What you will need:
Water – 1 liter
Citric acid – 1 tablespoon
Table vinegar (9%) – 2 tablespoons
Baking soda – ½ teaspoon
How to clean the kettle:
- Pour 1 liter of water into the kettle and bring to a boil.
- Add citric acid and vinegar. The acid will begin to dissolve limescale deposits immediately upon contact with hot water.
- Add baking soda: the hissing reaction will help mechanically separate the plaque from the walls.
- Leave the solution in the kettle for 15–20 minutes without draining. During this time, the mixture will penetrate into microcracks and soften even dense deposits.
- Drain the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with clean water 2-3 times.
- To remove residual odor, boil clean water in a kettle and drain it.
Citric acid and vinegar break down mineral deposits, baking soda removes remaining dirt and deodorizes, and hot water enhances the effect of all components. After cleaning, wipe the body with a damp cloth and leave the kettle open for 5 minutes to ventilate. For a light aroma, you can add a slice of lemon or a drop of citrus essential oil to the final boiling water. This method is not only effective, but also safe: no toxic fumes, scratches on the heating element or skin irritation.
