In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a man will be tried for buying a license and then causing an accident in which his child was injured.

The police said that in February 2025, a 37-year-old man decided to buy a fake driver's license. He later explained this action by saying that he “didn’t have time” to get real rights. He made the purchase via the Internet, paying 40 thousand rubles.

The man deceived his wife: first he told her that he was studying at a driving school, and then boasted of his license. In January 2026, a woman entrusted her husband with a car when the family went to Krasnoyarsk.

“The trip was short-lived: the man, driving out onto the highway, got into an accident in which his minor child was injured. Traffic police inspectors arrived at the scene and determined that the driver’s license showed signs of being counterfeit. This was subsequently confirmed by an examination,” the press service said.

Investigators of the Yeniseisky Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia opened a criminal case against the man under Part 3 of Art. 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Use of a knowingly forged document.” Now the man is waiting for the court's decision.

Also, police officers compiled administrative material regarding the father of the injured child under Art. 5.35 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Failure of parents to fulfill obligations for the maintenance and upbringing of minors,” which is sent for consideration to the commission on minors’ affairs.
