The Russian government approved rules for creating a list of strategically important drugs.

Now their production will be completely localized within the country, Yamal 1 reports.
The main goal is to ensure the drug safety of the state. Pharmaceutical manufacturers whose drugs are included in the list will receive government support measures and priority in government procurement.
It is expected that systemic support of domestic companies will ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential medicines to hospitals and pharmacies, regardless of external factors.
