In Zheleznogorsk, a pensioner will appear in court for beating his opponent with a metal pipe due to a conflict on the road. This was reported by the press service of the regional police.
A conflict between two drivers occurred in the summer of 2025, when a 67-year-old man, trying to drive down a narrow SNT street, crashed into another car and damaged its bumper.
A minor accident escalated into a verbal altercation, during which an elderly man grabbed a piece of metal pipe and struck his opponent more than 12 times.
“According to the conclusion of a medical examination, the victim suffered numerous fractures, which resulted in long-term health problems and were classified as moderate harm to health,” law enforcement officers said.
A criminal case was opened against the elderly man under Part 2 of Art. 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Intentional infliction of moderate harm to health.”
The investigation has now been completed. The case materials with the approved indictment were sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.
