A Krasnoyarsk man got behind the wheel drunk for the second time and ended up in court (video)

A resident of Krasnoyarsk will appear in court for repeated driving while intoxicated. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.

In February on the street. On the Yenisei highway, road police stopped a Suzuki car. During the check, state traffic inspectors found out that the driver did not have any documents, and also noticed signs of alcohol intoxication.

Law enforcement officers offered the driver to undergo a medical examination, but he refused. As a result, the man was removed from driving, and his car was placed in a specialized parking lot.

“It turned out that the Krasnoyarsk man was drinking alcohol with a friend, then the men, being drunk, decided to go to the ATM. During the inspection, the police found that the driver had already been brought to administrative responsibility for a similar offense in 2023,” the regional police said.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment.” The criminal investigation has now been completed.

The offender faces up to two years in prison.
