Gigi Becali, accused of preferential treatment in the church: “He's Becali, isn't he?”

Gigi Becali (67 years old), the patron of the Romanian football champion – FCSB, is publicly accused of having received special treatment in churches from Patriarch Daniel. The disclosure appears in a post on the networks made by the monk Iustin Deică, who claims that he was excluded from monasticism because he would have opposed the canonization of the priest Dumitru Stăniloae due to an alleged closeness to the Legionnaire Movement.

“I filmed everything on TikTok. In this clip I showed that Becali was called by Patriarch Daniel and he himself shared it in the Holy Altar at the Patriarchal Cathedral.
Then he got a kind of general blessing, based on which he could share in any church, any monastery, that he is Becali, right?
And then, at the Cernica Monastery, I showed that I was the only monk who opposed this practice, as it is non-canonical. The canons of the church absolutely forbid the communion of the laity in the Holy Altar. Only clerics are allowed to receive communion in the Holy Altar“, said Deica on Facebook.
Taken from the pew of the Patriarchal Cathedral
In the middle of this year, Patriarch Daniel ordered that George Becali no longer have access to the pew of the Patriarchal Cathedral. The information appears in an address signed by priest Adrian Agachi, the spokesperson of the Romanian Patriarchate, and addressed to the Archdiocese of Bucharest.
That's after what “several people who watch the live broadcasts from the Patriarchal Cathedral have repeatedly drawn attention, through written reports and through comments on social networks, to the inappropriate presence, especially the disturbing involvement in pew singing, particularly of Mr. George Becali, but also of other people without musical training“, the document shows.
The landowner then announced that he unconditionally obeys the order given by Patriarch Daniel.
He got angry with Athos
Angry that his financial contribution to the building of a church is not fully recognized, the businessman boycotts Mount Athos.
“I don't go to Athos anymore. I got used to Patriarhia, Cernica, Darvari and Plumbuita, I still go to these”, said the boss of the red-blues, according to Fanatik.
He also has something to reproach Father Pimen. “They wrote in the book that a Christian, Becali, came and helped. Instead of writing: “Well! Becali made the church! Becali made it from scratch, all of it, from A to Z.” They didn't write anymore…
Like that one, Father Pimen, whom you see on the Internet, “that Becali came and once gave 30 thousand, 70 thousand…”. Becali did it since you had the pit. I came, I saw the pit and I gave 700 thousand and I did it, my Father Pimen, who love you!
Someone sent me from Mount Athos that he, the monk, does podcasts. Well, do you realize that?“, Becali also said.
