— Regarding the Peace Council, of course, Poland's presence in such an organization may have its advantages and disadvantages. Undoubtedly, it is always better to be at the table than at the table, it is better to present your goals and interests – said Kolarski.
He noted that it is particularly important that the United States encourages participation in this initiative. — Especially when the United States is trying to have the country be part of such an institution – he added. At the same time, he emphasized that the decision on this matter does not rest solely with the president. According to the constitution, ratification is necessary, therefore the head of state is waiting for the government's official position.

Kolarski recalled that the Peace Council was originally conceived as an element of the twenty-point peace plan, which was intended to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip and then coordinate the process of its reconstruction.. — The Peace Council was established, designed as part of a twenty-point peace plan that was intended to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza. And then the council would address the issue of rebuilding Gaza, he explained.
He added that on January 16, the American administration presented a much broader concept of this institution. The new formula would be global and deal with problems beyond the Middle East.

According to Kolarski, Poland's participation in such an international format would provide a real opportunity to influence the course of action and represent the interests not only of its own, but also of the entire region of Central and Eastern Europe. — Poland would then be one of several European countries, certainly the only country in the region, that would also speak on behalf of the entire region – he assessed.
At the same time, he emphasized that no decisions have been made yet. — But will this happen? We'll see — he concluded, recalling that “for now we are waiting for the government's opinion.”
