The US Secretary of State criticizes NATO. “Donald Trump will take this into account”

Marco Rubio talked to journalists before traveling to the meeting of foreign ministers of the G7 countries about reports regarding intelligence and material assistance that Russia is to provide to Iran. — I think Russia's main focus is the war it's fighting right now. Other than that, I have nothing to add,” Rubio said.
The head of American diplomacy announced that during the meeting of G7 ministers in France, he will seek help in opening the Strait of Hormuz. Rubio emphasized that this is in the interest of the group's countries, which obtain a significant part of their fuels from the Persian Gulf region.
Criticism of NATO allies
The Secretary of State also referred to Thursday's words of President Donald Trump, who threatened NATO countries “will not forget” the United States' refusal to support the Strait issue.
– He just made an observation, namely that The United States is constantly being asked to help in a war (…) taking place on another continent, in Ukraine, but when the United States needed help, we did not receive a positive response, Rubio said.
The Secretary of State noted that Trump drew attention to the position of some European leaders. They claimed that the conflict in Ukraine was not Europe's war, while the US had made a greater contribution to this conflict than any other country in the world. Rubio added that the president will take this into account in the future.
Pakistan mediates between the US and Iran
The Secretary of State refused to reveal who exactly the negotiations were taking place with on the Iranian side. He only confirmed that the talks are mediated by Pakistan. However, Rubio assessed that there were signs of progress – Iran allowed several tankers to pass through Hormuz.
– More and more energy is flowing through the strait – not as much as there could be, but more and more. So there is progress when it comes to exchanging messages [między Iranem i USA] – noted the head of American diplomacy. However, he did not want to confirm whether this would be enough to organize a direct meeting of negotiators from both sides.
