Auction of Holocaust items. German daily: shocking case

The Munich daily believes that the title of the planned auction “sounded dignified” – “The system of terror, part II, 1933–1945.” “However, instead of explaining the operation of this system of terror, plans were made to sell its testimonies, including several hundred letters from concentration camp prisoners, Jewish stars with traces of use, and documents from the camp administration. In total, there were over 600 items, partly from a private researcher,” we read in “Sueddeutsche Zeitung”.

The opinion noted not only that he suffered from “congenital mental retardation”, but also that he had five children. “In a public archive, such a document would be made available only under conditions designed to protect relatives,” writes the daily.
